This Snap Hook is strong durable and practical to use. 
 
I also believe this clip is really safe to use around horses. In a case of an emergency, for example if a horse is tied up and spook the bottom and top part will separate and the horse will be able to pull free and prevent an injury, although it won't separate during use in hand or ground work.
